Brides, How to Prep Hair for your Big Day
Photography by Devonk.photography
Congratulations Beautiful!
Choosing the right style for your big day can be super tough. I recommend always getting a trial prior to the day to establish whether you want it down or up, textured or super sleek.
Step 1.
Hair Extensions
I cannot stress this enough, hair extensions are crucial for the perfect hairstyle for your wedding. Not only will it hold any curls or waves for the entire day, it will add thickness and volume. Below are links to my favourite Amazon extensions but you can also buy them from Bellami, Luxy, Bombay. For thin hair you need between 120g-150g and thick hair is 150g-200g. If you are hesitant on length, ask your hairdresser.

Step 2.
Colour & Cut
Make sure you get your hair cut and coloured at least a week before your big day, Especially if you’re bleaching, you need a week for your hair to settle down. Make sure they properly give you proper face framing bangs if thats the look you’re going for as a style. We LOVE face framing pieces!!
Step 3.
The Day Before
You want to provide a clean scalp for your hairstylist. I highly recommend getting a blowout the day before. If you can’t, make sure to wash your hair twice. One using a clarifying shampoo and a normal shampoo. Make sure you put your conditioner on the midshaft to ends only. Leave in conditioner, and lots of mousse. Make sure you blow dry it and do NOT flat iron. Using a blow dryer brush would help, but if you can’t, just let your hair stylist know if your hair will be super frizzy or not so they know to bring a blowdryer.
